Deep Roy was born in Nairobi, Kenya.
His birth name is Gordeep Roy, which means 'God's Light.' He has been acting for more than 30 years taking on
some great roles that include working for Tim Burton on several pictures including CORPSE BRIDE (he voiced the character of
General Bonesapart) and PLANET OF THE APES where he portrayed Thade's Niece! He soared to worldwide popularity in another
Tim Burton film CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY where he got to work side by side with actor Johnny Depp playing the infamous
Oompla Loompa! To STAR WARS fans around the world however, Deep will always be known as the pudgy band member DROOPY MC COOL
in the Sy Snootles & Max Reebo Band, who was seen in Jabba’s Palace in RETURN OF THE JEDI. Other large commercial
films include THE NEVER ENDING STORY and Disney’s THE HAUNTED MANSION. DR. WHO fans will always remember him as Mr.
Sin!!!! A little trivia fact for you: There are 165 Oompa-Loompas in Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and
Deep plays ALL of them. For this role, he had to take Pilates and dance lessons in preparations for the four musical numbers.
