Maria hails from Canada!
She loves to travel the world to meet and greet her fans! Maria has appeared in many films including WONDER WOMEN.
She worked with legendary director Roger Corman, starring in his film THE CREMATORS. She also starred in
BLOOD MANIA! However she will probably be best remembered as the cocky bounty hunter Greedo who went after
Han Solo. Maria’s character unfortunately lost his (her) life in George Lucas' STAR WARS: A NEW HOPE.
Maria was on the Star Wars set to fill in doing pick up shots with C-3PO. It was while she was there for a costume fitting she was offered the part
of Greedo. Maria considers this to be ‘answered prayers.’ She even honors
Mr. Lucas as having ‘saved her life.’ Lucas noticed Maria was overheating, having trouble breathing and felt faint.
Her role as Greedo was not all ‘sweetness and light.’ The costume made
it difficult to breathe, see and was riddled with wires. Lucas cut the scene and had oxygen administered. After a short
break, she donned the mask again and what we know today, after all her hard work, is ‘Greedo's
close ups!’
