Vic Tablian is one of the FEW actors
who were fortunate enough to land more than one role in RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK! His first was that of Barranca the Peruvian
guide who betrays Indy and is killed by the Hovitos tribe in the beginning of the film! His fate was sealed when he said “If
they knew we were here, they would've killed us already.” The second character is perhaps one of the most favorite
of fans around the world, the “Monkey Man” Nazi agent, commissioned to spy on Indiana Jones. His monkey handling
ability proves efficient, as his subject pet is successful in discovering & assisting in the capture of Marion Ravenwood.
Some cool TRIVIA on Vic and his characters: He was BOTH Barranca and Monkey Man. The first time the WHIP was used in the
film was on Barranca. The first time the WHIP was used in Young Indiana Johns,was on another character Vic played; CLAW!
He was ALSO Demitrios, who went to Mexico and became Claw. The First man to attempt to kill Indiana Jones was Barranca and
the Monkey Man also attempted to kill Indy!!! Demetrios tried to kill the ten year old Indy and CLAW had the first man to
man fight with Indy and tried to kill Young Indiana Jones! WOW, that's a lot of fighting with Indiana Jones, how does
Vic keep up?
Vic's first character in the film, BARRANCA, was killed!
