DEREK C. WALLACE

"Cinematographer Derek C. Wallace is self-taught. Eschewing traditional film schools in order to better spend those finances on his own projects, Wallace has found himself cast in the role of director of photography on several projects now. One feature and three short films later, he continues to strive for excellence in all his endeavors. Some of his favorite films are 'Jaws', 'Aliens', 'Cool Hand Luke', 'Casablanca', 'Citizen Kane', 'The Invisible Man', ' The Maltese Falcon', 'True Romance', 'Ghostbusters', 'Out of the Past' and 'Night of the Living Dead'. ANDY SAWYER

He is an independent filmmaker from the central Massachusetts area. For over twelve years Sawyer has written, produced & directed dozens movies on both film and digital video. Everything from short to feature lengths. His skills are unmatched when it comes to low budget visual & special F/X. Sawyer's work can been seen in over fifty college and independent films, including the infamous zombie make-up from "Dead in America" featured on 60 Minutes. Besides recognition for his innovative make up work, his directing has also been acclaimed by Tony Timpone Editor of FANGORIA Magazine and Troma Studios for his short "The Axe Wife" Aside from Directing & Visual F/X, Sawyer's best work is seen when he is behind the camera. With his specialty being horror films, director Derek Maki recruited him for "Carnage & Deception" to be Assistant Director of Photography for the film. With his fiercely creative style and unique way of capturing an image, Sawyer has been a very big asset to any film he has worked on. This film is no exception to the rule. With all of this, Sawyer works as a Drama Teacher/Director for the BRIDGES PLAYHOUSE Children's Drama Theater, which is connected, to the Harvard, MA School District. Here Sawyer works with children writing directing and casting plays performed by the local elementary school students with his wife Lisa Robichaud. Here Sawyer inspires the imagination, while he himself being inspired by their childlike view of the world. With his unique style, hard work, and terrifying imagery, Andy Sawyer will bring out the true nature of horror in any film he works on.
