Wayne Pygram has become known to STAR WARS fans around the world as
the new TARKIN! Wyan states it was a great honor taking over the role from legendary
actor Peter Cushing, in REVENGE OF THE SITH! Originally Lucas was going to digitally
put in Cushing's face; however, once he saw the make-up design on Wayne, he decided against it. Wayne also had to learn
to speak like Peter Cushing (which he claims he did "dead on") since originally TARKIN
had lines in the film. Later Lucas decided it was more interesting and mysterious not to have TARKIN
speak. Wayne went on to the popluar TV series FARSCAPE where he portrayed the ultimate
villain, SCORPIUS! Wayne's had a great run in the Sci-Fi world BUT also had great supporting roles on TV series such as:
LOST, THE LOST WORLD and FIVE MILE CREEK.
You can also see his work in great films like: RISK, FAREWELL TO THE KING, THE CUSTODIAN
and DOING TIME FOR PATSY CLINE.
