Wayne Pygram has become known to STAR WARS fans around the world as the NEW TARKIN! Taking over the role, from legendary
actor Peter Cushing, in "REVENGE OF THE SITH" was a great honor! Originaly Lucas was going to digitally put in Cushing's face;
however ONCE he saw the make-up design on Wayne he decided against it. Wayne also had to learn to speak like Peter Cushing
(which he claims he did "dead on") since originally TARKIN had lines in the film. Later Lucas decided it was more interesting
and mysterious to have Tarkin not speak, it added to the dramatic feel of the scene!
You may also recognize Wayne from another popular sci-fi property known as "FARSCAPE" where he portrayed the ultimate villian
SCORPIUS!
Wayne's had a great run in the sci-fi world BUT you can also catch him on the following TV series: LOST, THE LOST WORLD &
FIVE MILE CREEK. Or look for him in these other great films: RISK, FAREWELL TO THE KING, THE CUSTODIAN & DOING TIME FOR PATSY
CLINE.
